About Us

“We love what we do.”

A need and love for food is a common ground that we all share, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to share our passion for growing with you- our local community. Our principals are simple: We believe that healthy soil creates healthy plants, and that healthy plants are able to grow produce in ways that modern agriculture has long forgotten. Because of this, our food is grown without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides. Our primary crop is our soil –  the rest of the process is a natural progression.

We settled in the Hood River Valley in November 2009, got married in September 2010, and have been organizing Wildwood Farm along the way. Laurel has worked as a farmer in the Pacific Northwest for the past decade, and in that time has gained experience growing  everything from asian greens and sun chokes  to flowers, tomatoes, broccoli, kale, kohlrabi, corn, onions, garlic, squashes, and potatoes (to name just a few). Paul, having spent his working life at sea- has traded the ocean for the earth and is keeping pace.  All seasons of the year you can find us here, working towards a sustainable future at Wildwood.

We grew up in Junction City, Oregon, and were drawn to the community, the beauty, and the agricultural abundance of the Hood River Valley. The valley has provided us with an ideal location and supportive community for our home and farm. We feel honored to give back something that is so important to us – farm fresh vegetables and flowers.

We look forward to sharing the harvest with you-
